Mihir had thinning across the top and crown, with longer hair that made the scalp harder to hide. This journey compares before surgery with the five-month mark and a later visit, from the front, top and crown.
The Journey, Month by Month
Before: Front
Thinning at the front, with the hair worn long to cover it.
Before: Top
From above, the scalp shows through across the top.
Five Months: Front
A fuller front, with the hair cut shorter.
Five Months: Crown
Coverage has returned across the crown.
Later Follow-Up
Grown out at a later visit.
Later Follow-Up: Top
From above, the top is fully covered.
Why we show the middle months: shedding at weeks 3–6 and patchy growth at month 3 are the two points where patients most often think a transplant has failed. Both are normal stages of the hair growth cycle. Full results typically mature at 10–12 months, and longer at the crown.
