Day 0 — Before
Visible thinning across the front and mid-scalp, clearest from above.
Hairline Design
The new hairline is drawn and the recipient area mapped by the doctor before a single graft is taken.
Grafts Settling
Tiny crusts form around each graft and clear within about a week. Most patients return to work in 3–5 days.
The Shedding Phase
Transplanted hairs fall out. This alarms most patients — but it is expected. The follicle stays; only the hair shaft sheds before regrowth.
Early Regrowth
New hairs start pushing through, fine and uneven at first. Coverage still looks patchy at this stage — that is normal.
Density Returns
Real coverage becomes visible. Hair is still maturing in thickness, but the shape of the result is clear.
Substantial Coverage
Dense, natural coverage, with hair thickening further through months 10–12.
Why we show the middle months: shedding at weeks 3–6 and patchy growth at month 3 are the two points where patients most often think a transplant has failed. Both are normal stages of the hair growth cycle. Full results typically mature at 10–12 months, and longer at the crown.
